Daniil Medvedev won his third title in three back-to-back weeks after defeating Andrey Rublev 6-2 6-2 in final match of ATP 500 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Medvedev achieved his career's 18th title in ATP competitions after the display of dominant performance, as the former world ranking's leader gave just no chance to his fellowcountry in Saturday's final clash. Medvedev started from breaking Rublev's serve in first game and had this match under constant control, winning both sets with double break and not facing any single breakpoint during the time of this one-sided duel. The US Open 2021 champion was playing his best tennis, scoring 27 winners in compare to just 6 unforced errors, and seems to be the best in-form player in the world right now. Medvedev will approach the Indian Wells tournament as a favorite, being on the strike of 14 wins in the row.

Both finalists exchanged pleasantries praising each other in the post-final ceremony interviews. "I want to congratulate Andrey. One player said, that he has “a few weapons” and I was like how can you say this about Andrey? He is one of the most skillful players on tour. I am sure he can win Grand Slams & beat this guy who said it many times. I wish you this." said Medvedev.

Rublev was also full of respect for his fellowcountry, who defeated him during today's final: "I think I never told Daniil face to face, but I have a huge respect for him, he's a real inspiration. We know each other since we were kids,  Daniil did not have much financial help, but he proved he is a real champion."
