Cori Gauff will play for her third WTA title in Sunday's WTA 250 tournament in Auckland. Semifinals contested on Saturday were the first matches for a couple of days without a necessity to hide the play under the roof due to the persistent rain. Gauff did not fail in the role of big favorite of the tournament, defeating Lin Zhu in Friday's quarterfinal and Danka Kovinic in semis, winning both matches without a trouble and not losing a set then.
Her opponent will be Rebeka Masarova from Spain. It is the best career's result for the #130 ranked player, who passed through Karolina Muchova in two tiebreaks during Friday's QF and won her semifinal match against Ysaline Bonaventure 6-3 6-3.
