Naomi Osaka will not take part in the upcoming Australian Open. Four times Grand Slam champion will be another big name missing in the main draw after today's announcement released on the tournament's Twitter account: “Naomi Osaka has withdrawn from the Australian Open. We will miss her at #AO2023." The rumours about possible Osaka's withdrawal were common during this week, while the Japanese was not giving any signs of her intentions to compete in Melbourne. There are voices, that Osaka was not interested in making preparations for 2023 season at all, and fates of her further career are doubtful. Former world #1 made her last on-court appearance in August 2022, when she lost her R1 clash in US Open Championships against Danielle Collins. Any hypotheses about the reason of Osaka's disappearance are just the guesses, as Osaka mad any official statement on her own about this matter.
