Anastasia Potapova grabs the title in WTA 250 Linz tournament after defeating Petra Martic in final, winning easily 6-3 6-1. The Croatian, who eliminated tournament's top seed Maria Sakkari in semifinal, was a slight pre-match favorite of the final match.

The start went well for Martic, as she gaine a break in opening game and was close to extend her advantage to double break, but Potapova managed to hold in 3rd game. That was the end of Martic's good run in this match, as the Russian started to take the initiative, outplaying her opponent, showing some stunning forehand winners from time to time. Potapova broke Martic twice in first set, clinching it with a score 6-3, and playing an absolute dominant tennis in second set, winning 6 games in a row and sealing her final victory after under 80 minutes.

It's second career's WTA title for Potapova and first ever on hard-court surface. The Russian will reach her highest 31th rank on WTA list tomorrow, just behind Martic who advances for the 30th place.
