Belinda Bencic clinched her 7th career WTA title in a dominant final match of WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide against Daria Kasatkina. The Swiss gave just no chance for her opponent to take up the title fight, dictating the play terms just from the start. Bencic rolled over the Russian winning 8 games in a row from the beggining, taking the first set with a bagel. Second set did not bring any turnover. Kasatkina managed to opened her score with winning her service game in third game of the set, but Bencic added another break for her huge advantage and finished the match with a score 6-0 6-2 in just 69 minutes.

Bencic, who has already secured her top 10 return earlier this week, can capitalize on her great run of form with a formidable path in the main draw of Australian Open. She will play against Viktoriya Tomova in the first round. Winner of this match will play against Madison Brengle or Claire Liu in R2. The possible seed to be faced in R32 for Bencic is Martina Trevisan. The Swiss can think about the deep run in the slam, if she just handles the really short break just after the Adelaide's tournament. Kasatkina's road to the later stages is also looking decent. The Russian will face fellowcountry Varvara Gracheva in the opening round. The only one seed in her road to R16 is Karolina Pliskova.
