The main draw of inaugural Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open will start on Monday. The new WTA 500 tournament in calendar, which starts the February's middle-east swing will start with a couple of cracking matches, as the draw has been revealed today.
Danielle Collins vs Jelena Ostapenko will be an absolute hit clash of the first round. "Danimal" has already delivered a few great tennis spectacles this year during the Australian tournaments played in January. Ostapenko also proved to be a player who can beat anyone on her good day, so the match-up between two players with such an entertaining play style and interesting personalities will be a greatest possible headline for the start of action in a brand new tournament.
It's not the only one interesting duel. The main draw contains the meeting between two former WTA ranking leaders - Karolina Pliskova will meet Garbine Muguruza. The Spaniard who fell down in rankings after series of losses will try to get back on track in a difficult match against Pliskova, who managed to achieve the QF in Australian Open.
Paula Badosa vs Liudmila Samsonova, Anett Kontaveit vs Shuai Zhang and Beatriz Haddad Maia vs Marie Bouzkova complements a delightful set of matches, which will surely kick start the first edition of Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open.
