Novak Djokovic will face Daniil Medvedev in an absolute stunner semifinal clash of Adelaide ATP 250 tournament tomorrow. Djokovic won today's most interesting males matchup against Denis Shapovalov in two sets. The Serbian was under control in the first set, winning it by one break. He gained advantage quickly in second as well, but surprisingly collapsed in 6th game, losing his own serve despite being 40-0 up. He retook the control at the end of a set and booked his place in tomorrow's clash against Medvedev who defeated Karen Khachanov 6-3 6-4.
Another SF pairing will be Sebastian Korda and Yoshihito Nishioka. Korda defeated Jannik Sinner, who was facing some minor injury issues, calling up the medical time-out. Nishioka played a distance against the last Aussie player in the field - Alexei Popyrin. He played a brilliant decider after two very tight sets ended up with tiebreaks.
Ons Jabeur did not fail against Marta Kostyuk. Tunisian was a break down in both sets, abounded with many breaks on both sides, but took control of the match and got into semi-final against Linda Noskova. 18 years-old Czech played an absolute stunner with Viktoria Azarenka. The match was decided on the advantages of final set-tiebreak with a score 8-6. Azarenka did not convert her chance to close out the match, having a match-point within Noskova's serve in 12th game. Young Czech has not wasted her chances in tie-break and will play in her career-top semifinal. The other semifinal places are grabbed by Irina Camela Begu who defeated Veronika Kudermetova and Aryna Sabalenka denying Marketa Vondrousova, both in straight sets.
